”7 tips for a better intranet search” at Congres Intranet
On the 17th of March, Entopic will organize Congres Intranet 2015. The seventh edition of the yearly intranet conference, held in the Netherlands, will focus on the current innovative intranet solutions, digital workplace developments, collaboration trends and best practices.
One of the speakers is our very own Kristian Norling. Here’s a summary of his presentation:
7 tips for a better intranet search
Ask employees what their main pain points are when it comes to using the intranet and chances are “search” will appear in the top 5 of the list. Meanwhile, the global survey on Enterprise Search conclude that while 78% of respondents believe finding the right information is critical to business goals and success, only 24% have a search strategy in place. Only 9% claim it’s “fairly easy” to find content, compared to 64% who admit it’s “hard” or “very hard”.
While improvements in search requires both resources and thorough reviews, there are some things you can do to start the journey while getting a longer-term strategy in place. Kristian Norling from IntraTeam/Intranätverk will give a crash-course in intranet search with 7 actionable to-do:s to take home.
Why have you chosen this topic?
– There’s no secret that I’m a ”search guy”, so it was quite easy to choose a topic. I hope I will be able to provide the delegates with some interesting perspectives.
How do you feel about being one of the speakers?
– In general, I’m very happy to be part of this great conference, and to be one among this impressive line-up of speakers is just a big plus.
Except from Kristian, the line-up includes the likes of Jane McConnell, Wedge Black and Kevin Cody among others.
